Good bye post

After an amazing 16.5 years with the same business that I started with as an intern, my run has finally now come to an end. It’s an end of an era for me and a very bittersweet conclusion to the most thrilling, rewarding, and impactful journey that I could have ever imagined. DigiCert, Inc. (Acquired by Symantec/VeriSign) has given me more than I could have ever asked for and I will be forever grateful for my time there. I was fortunate enough to have the opportunity to take on 9 different roles, each one providing unique challenges and opportunities for growth and each leading me to the next role to learn more, contribute more, and add more value.

I am proud to be forever intertwined with the history of SSL/PKI being able to witness an industry start from its infant stages and grow to be the crucial solution it’s become in today’s connected world. I’ve had the honor and pleasure to work with some of the most talented and dedicated people in this industry and am lucky to have found wonderful managers (Deanne MartinMelissa LavigneBernard LarocheJonathan SkinnerLaura GuntrenClifton Ashley) amazing mentors, inspirational leaders (lPhilip AntoniadisRobert HoblitFran RoschMike Campbell) dedicated colleagues, loyal customers, and some of the best friendships that I’ll always carry with me.

I would like to thank all the leaders, peers and clients from all around the globe for their support, guidance, and friendship through the years. We’ve overcome amazing challenges, won thousands of battles, and accomplished what seemed like impossible goals together in leading the industry for the entirety of my run there.

This all started with an interview at a job fair in 2006 where I was a fresh, young, energetic scholar looking for any job in tech. Who would have known 16.5 years later that it would lead me to having been able to travel the world, make connections with professionals from over 40 countries, and take my life to a level beyond anything I could have dreamed of as a young immigrant coming to America, being the first in my family to graduate college. Dreams do come true and I’m living proof that anything is possible if you’re willing to work hard, genuinely care about the people you come across and keep finding ways to grow and add more value in any situation you face.

And this by no means is the end for me as I am super excited and optimistic to what the future will bring, but I know anything that happens from here will be because of the amazing people that supported me along the way and saw in me something worth giving the opportunity to.
